I started DJing in the mid-nineties when i was living in Los Angeles. Inspired by the DJ’s at late night warehouse parties, I scraped up enough money for a couple of 1200’s and taught myself how to beat match and mix breakbeats. Unfortunately, none of those early Acid Breaks mixes (done on cassette) survived.
By 1998 I had upgraded to a DAT recorder/CD burner setup and I produced a House/Tech House Mix called Slee’swax. There have been some lags but since then I have tried to produce a mix a year. There is a slight diversion into Techno/Mininal in the mid 2000’s, but otherwise I have been spinning Tech House for the past 2 decades. I do still have my turntables, but these days for the yearly mixes I use NI Traktor with a S4 on a Mac laptop.
My latest mix is embeded on the left, the full archive is here. You can stream them from my information page or the mixcloud page . If you want it for your iTunes, there is a download link as well.
