Oh so now Custom Fields is built in
Up until around 6 months ago, I honestly had not much experience with the AI chat bots. I have never been one to spend that much time in chat apps in the first place so ‘talking’ to a computer just didn’t interest me. Then I was having a coding problem I couldn’t figure out and…
I have maintained a personal website since 1998. In those days your choices were basically static HTML or Flash. I went with Flash which was basically a keyframe based vector animation tool that could include different media types. You sent people to a single URL and built a website much like a CD-ROM. Honestly having…
Once again I have rebuilt my personal website. It’s still React but this time built with AWS Amplify, NEXTjs, Mantine, & Framer Motion and written in Typescript. Most of it is still pulling content from a Wordpress API, but the Rockets section is now using AWS AppSync (GraphQL & DynamoDB) for data.
After roughly 3 years of creative stagnation (I kept working through that time, built some web sites and applications) it’s time to rise from the ashes. The shed studio got a little refresh with some new synths, some dusting off of old synths and a new tech house track brewing. With Max for Live using…
Time for some website updates. /portfolio got a few improvements, mostly for mobile viewing. It is now usable on iPhone6 and up! Next I will be adding more content. /playlist (my React implementation of wavesurfer.js) got a lot of fixes. Loading is much better now, controls are more responsive and playback is smoother. Next I…
After a 6 month hiatus I am back to updating and improving casadereyes.net. After a couple of days reviewing the current state I have a list of planned improvements. WordPress Theme React App
This is to see what the html that the database gets looks like. Is it that different? Column1 Column2Column2Column2Column2Column2Column2 INTO THE VOID Column2 Column3 ALL STAR
Check out my revamped loops player for snapshots of songs I am working on. I created a quick React component for Wavesurfer that pulls Audio posts from the Loops category into a list for the player. I’ll be adding better functionality soon.
Welcome to the latest version of my website. What started out as some updates to my WordPress theme turned into a complete rebuild as I ditched php and used React to build an app that makes calls to my WordPress API. That is the Live section. The Dev section is where I am experimenting with…
I am finally retiring my 12 year old MPC1000 as my MPC Live arrived last week.
Finally got a light field camera…this is my first experiment with it.
Hypermedia, a new category, will be my area to play with article layouts and scroll effects. I’ll be trying lots of different css and jQuery techniques in this area. For content I am resurrecting some anime reviews I wrote for URB magazine some 10-15 years ago. The first one is the review for Cowboy Bebop:…
My 1st ever sunrise set, this one was challenging but a whole lot of fun.
The redesigned home page is done, and with it going up the site is now officially at 1.0. What this means is that everything is up and open to all visitors, and that I can live with whatever problems the site has that I know about (for the next day or so at least). For…
Lots of changes happening. I have taken down my home page, so for now it goes to /everything. It won’t be getting a huge redesign, but I am going to ditch the jQuery I am currently using for scroll and page effects and go with something less slideshow like. Also I have been gearing up…
I still have a few minor issues to work out, but it’s close enough to push live. Both single photo and gallery posts now feature a full window hero photo. I am using backstrech to aid in sizing, flexslider for the gallery back-end. Credit also goes to kristarella.com who has posts with very helpful code for display…
2 Decades of Tech House Mixes. The latest one below.
In the old days we made mixtapes.
Introducing /everything. Every single post on 1 page.
Time for a Wordpress rebuild. I will use _s as a base to build my own theme, and document my progress in this new category i have created, /changelog.
